BACKGROUND
Narrative Threads, published by Saqi Books, is a stunning celebration of Palestinian embroidery in contemporary art by Joanna Barakat.
For over two decades, we’ve designed with passion publications with a focus on contemporary art, collaborating with museums, publishers, and cultural institutions across the UK and Europe. This project brought together our experience and our shared love of storytelling through images, materials, and form.
The Concept
Books take time, patience, and collaboration to create. For this project, we worked closely with the publisher and curator to design a flexible layout system that gives visual rhythm to the content — allowing the images to lead, while white space and typography bring balance, clarity, and flow.
